  Mission Statement

MISSION STATEMENT

The Mission of SUMTER COUNTY MIDDLE SCHOOL is to promote a learning environment that will provide all students with the knowledge and skills to be successful in life.

  About The School

Our School's Priorities

Sumter County Middle School strives to meet the needs of its students by examining their individual circumstances and aptitudes and developing a school environment in which students are encouraged to reach their full potential.  Our goal is to develop the middle grades students' mental, physical, social, and emotional skills, while preparing them to be responsible, contributing citizens of the community.

As part of our district/school commitment to realize the district's vision of graduating all students, six priorities have been established as a foundation to accomplish that goal. These priorities are:

 (1) Student achievement

 (2) Operational efficiency

 (3) Customer service

 (4) Public relations and marketing

 (5) Student discipline

 (6) Employee professionalism
