Sumter County Middle School Classes Learn Real World Skills Through School Garden

Agriculture

Sumter County Middle School students in Mr. Brinson Brock's Agriculture classes have measured and properly joined several sizes and kinds of boards. They are working to construct raised beds that will last SCMS for years to come! Real world skills learned are the importance of knowing how to measure and cut boards correctly before joining them permanently as well as types of paint. Pictured are Jalen Royster, Juan Aguirre, and Lundon Jones applying an oil based paint to help preserve outdoor beds for the SCMS school garden.
