Instrumental Music Education, Georgia State University, 2017

Masters of Music Education, University of Georgia, 2019

This is my first year teaching at Sumter County Middle School.

I have previously taught music students from kindergarten through high school and beyond. I worked in schools and community music centers throughout Atlanta and the metro-Atlanta area while consistently performing in musical theatre productions, jazz ensembles, and symphonic wind bands.

Having grown up in Conyers, Georgia, about 25 miles east of Atlanta, I began playing the saxophone in sixth grade. I loved it so much that I continued to pursue music long after graduating from Heritage High School. Performing in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City with the GSU Marching Band remains one of my favorite performance opportunities, and I am excited to provide my students with their own performance opportunities.
